Job summary

JIA HE CONSTRUCTION INSTALLATION PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Rebar Foreman to lead a 10-20 member rebars crew on active construction sites.

You will oversee cutting, bending, handling and fixing rebars, coordinate with formwork and concreting teams, and ensure production targets are met. The role requires at least 2 years in rebar foreman or senior worker, strong leadership, and ability to work under demanding site conditions while adhering to WSH regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rebar Foreman or Senior Rebar Worker in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Take full charge of rebar activities, lead a team of 10-20 workers, assign daily tasks and ensure smooth workflow to meet targets.
• Provide clear technical briefings to guide site operations and coordinate with formwork and concreting trades.
• Ensure all rebar works meet design requirements (bar size, spacing, lap length, concrete cover) and conduct self-inspections for official checks.
• Develop weekly/daily work plans to coordinate with other trades and manage rebar materials to minimize waste.
• Enforce workplace safety and WSH Act, conduct daily toolbox talks, and ensure PPE use.
• Maintain communication with project managers, client representatives, and other foremen to report progress and resolve site issues promptly.

Job description

• Site Management & Team Leadership: Take full charge of rebar activities. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of rebar workers in cutting, bending, handling, and fixing rebars. Efficiently assign daily tasks, ensure a smooth workflow, and achieve production targets.
• Planning: Provided clear technical briefings to the team to guide site operations.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all rebar works, including bar size, spacing, lap length, and concrete cover, fully comply with design requirements. Conduct self-inspections and prepare work for official checks.
• Progress & Material Management: Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans to ensure rebar activities are well-coordinated with other trades (e.g., formwork, concreting) and do not delay the overall project schedule. Manage rebar material delivery, inventory, and usage to minimize waste.
• Workplace Safety: Act as the responsible person for workplace safety, enforcing the WSH Act. Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings, ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary interface for rebar works. Maintain effective communication with project managers, client representatives, consultant engineers, and other trade foremen (e.g., Formwork Foreman) to report progress and resolve site issues promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rebar Foreman or Senior Rebar Worker in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of 10-20 rebar workers.
• Ability to adapt to the site environment and complete high-intensity tasks on schedule.
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
