Job summary

Micron is seeking an RDA Technology Development Engineer to learn and apply pioneering defect detection equipment and data analysis to accelerate learning and technology transfer. You will collaborate with process integration, data science, yield analysis, and other groups to tackle defects and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in Focused Ion Beam (FIB) operations, including cross‑sectioning, milling optimization, and defect characterization.
• Strong proficiency in SEM imaging and interpretation for defect identification.
• Experience training and mentoring engineers and technicians.
• Experience working with vendors for FIB/SEM equipment setup, troubleshooting, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Capable to provide manual cuts along with building skills for future automated FIB cuts.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Set up equipment, monitor stability, improve capability, and interact with vendors for advanced functionality.
• Write or modify equipment recipes to support the needs of the RDA area.
• Perform basic and advanced recoveries of down tools for assigned workstations.
• Drive software upgrades and improvements, working with internal and external vendors.
