Real Time Defect Analysis (RDA) Engineer

At Micron, you will be working with a team of process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability. The role involves process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement, risk management, and resolving manufacturing line problems.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Establish and improve process conditions and technology.
• Upgrade process capability and reduce production cost.
• Establish and modify process management projects.
• Evaluation, promotion, and planning of new equipment/materials.
• Abnormal analysis and improvement.
• Maximize yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes.
• Troubleshoot wafer fabrication problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with other process areas to understand and control process deviations.
• Long‑term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas.
• Evaluate products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications.
• Conduct research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommend process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical or Material Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a drive for finding effective solutions.
• Passion and interest in semiconductor frontend fabrication and memory industry.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
