Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (Singapore Branch) is seeking an RTD & Scheduling Engineer to design real-time dispatching and production scheduling solutions for our manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with MFG users, IT, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into reliable systems, support MES and AMHS interfaces, and drive continuous improvements in factory efficiency through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/SE/IE/Applied Math/Stats or equivalent experience.
• Programming skills to develop, test, or maintain software applications.
• Strong SQL knowledge for querying structured data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Real-Time Dispatching (RTD) systems and rules for factory operations.
• Lead or contribute to RTD-related projects from requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and evaluation.
• Improve production scheduling and manufacturing workflows by analyzing priorities, conditions, and constraints.
• Collaborate with MFG users, IT, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and support integration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Integrate and support MES and AMHS interfaces within manufacturing systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for reliable operations.
• Analyze manufacturing data and develop reports or BI insights to support decisions.
