Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a data engineer to own data flow and data service construction for its global payments platform. You will manage ultra-large-scale data, processing billions of incremental user data daily and ensure real-time transmission, cleaning, conversion and calculation of streaming data.

You’ll collaborate with business teams to maximise data value and support governance. Founded in 2012, ByteDance builds popular platforms including TikTok and CapCut.

Qualifications

• Must-have degree in CS, statistics, maths or related field.
• Familiar with Linux OS and development environments.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and operating systems.
• Proficient in C/C++, Java or Python programming.
• Attention to data quality and problem-solving from data.

Responsibilities

• Manage data flow and data service construction for ByteDance's global payment business.
