Job summary

ByteDance is seeking interns to join the Global Payment team and work on payments systems across the TikTok platform. You will develop high-quality software, identify tasks in the lifecycle, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general purpose programming languages.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; self-starter and flexible.
• Agile, fast learner with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solving.
• Collaborative and comfortable in a fast-moving, diverse, globally distributed team environment.
• Preferred: internship experience with hands-on exposure to the tech stack; interest in the payment industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture for global payment systems.
• Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code; perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products.
• Document development phases and monitor systems.
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies.
