Job summary

VulnCheck is hiring a Software Engineer, Rapid Response Assignment based in Singapore. This 100% remote role sits within the Product & Engineering team, focusing on diagnosing and fixing critical issues reported by customers to keep systems unblocked.

You'll work across data pipelines, APIs, and backend services with a global team, delivering high-quality engineering work and rapid resolutions while maintaining strong customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems.
• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java.
• Strong diagnostic and debugging skills, with a proven ability to root-cause complex production issues.
• A customer-obsessed mindset: you take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality solutions that delight customers.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer-reported issues quickly and thoroughly, from investigation through to a durable fix
• Diagnose complex, ambiguous problems across our services and data pipelines, tracing them to root cause
• Deliver high-quality engineering work that improves the platform and directly addresses customer needs
• Partner closely with Customer Success to align on technical solutions and outcomes
• Maintain and improve backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and uphold engineering best practices
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across the platform
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations
