Job summary

VulnCheck in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer for Rapid Response Assignment. This fully remote role focuses on diagnosing and fixing customer issues, delivering durable fixes, and ensuring high reliability across our platform.

You will work with a global engineering team, contribute to data pipelines and APIs, and align with Customer Success to translate technical challenges into outcomes. Strong backend skills and cybersecurity experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems.
• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.).
• Strong diagnostic and debugging skills with root-cause analysis.
• Customer‑obsessed mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for working with customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL systems, or high‑volume data processing.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer-reported issues quickly from investigation to durable fix.
• Diagnose complex problems across services and data pipelines to root cause.
• Deliver high-quality engineering work that improves the platform and addresses customer needs.
• Partner with Customer Success to align on technical solutions and outcomes.
• Maintain and improve backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and uphold engineering best practices.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across the platform.
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations.
