Job summary

Astek Singapore Innovation Technology Pte. Ltd. invites a Cybersecurity Engineer (Team Lead) based in Singapore to oversee vulnerability validation, triage, and remediation efforts across projects. You will lead a small team, drive efficient processing of reports, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure rapid risk reduction.

The role emphasizes hands-on triage, escalation handling for complex findings, and the development of automation scripts to streamline workflows and platform integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in cybersecurity, CS or related field with 3+ years' experience.
• Experience with web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and remediation options.
• Familiarity with Burp Suite and Kali Linux to validate vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a lean team ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely processing of vulnerability reports.
• Manage team performance, workload and resource planning; hands-on triage when needed.
• Act as escalation point for complex vulnerability validation and severity decisions.
• Own and improve SOPs, workflows and tools including platform integration and maintenance.
• Develop scripts and automation (Python, workflow tools) to streamline processes.
• Liaise with government agencies, system owners and security researchers to facilitate collaboration.
• Analyze vulnerability trends and prepare management reports and presentations.

Currently, we are looking for Cybersecurity Engineer (Team Lead) which would be based in Singapore

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related technical field with minimum 3 years' experience
• Familiarity with web vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10), including severity rating, vulnerability categorization, root cause analysis, and remediation options
• Familiarity with Burp Suite and Kali Linux to validate vulnerabilities
• Lead a lean team ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely processing of vulnerability reports
• Manage team performance, workload, and resource planning and perform hands-on triage and validation when required, particularly during peak periods or complex escalations
• Act as escalation point for complex vulnerability validation and severity rating decisions
• Own and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and tools, including integration and maintenance the platforms
• Develop scripts and automation (e.g., Python, workflow tools) to streamline the processes, reporting, and platform integrations
• Liaise with government agencies, system owners, and security researchers, and support the Programme Team in facilitating smooth internal-external collaboration
• Analyze vulnerability trends, deliver presentations on notable findings, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support programmed objectives
