Job summary

SBSTransit Ltd. is seeking a Safety and Security Data Assistant to help develop and align Rail Safety, Security and Emergency Planning General Procedures across SBST Rail Lines. You will support data collection, analysis and handling of safety statistics to inform safety programmes.

The role requires at least 1 year in safety management or railway operations, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Rail knowledge is a plus for SBST Rail and Bus operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in any discipline OR approval by Ministry of Manpower to act as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience relevant to safety management or railway operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to negotiate.
• Good report and procedure writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge on rail systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist and provide relevant data for reviews and aligning of existing General Procedures for all SBST Rail Lines under charge of RGAEP.
• Assist and provide data to develop new General Procedures for all SBST Rail Lines under charge of RGAEP.
• Assist and provide data for safety and security advisories as required.
• Assist to develop, coordinate and implement safety and security programmes.
• Maintain and administer the safety data repository of safety statistics.
• Consolidate and analyze safety data for reporting to various forums as required.
• Conduct relevant safety training.
• Support the Audit and Emergency Planning sections of RGAEP.
• Develop relevant safety procedures for SBST Rail and Bus Businesses.
