Job summary

The Singapore Public Service seeks a Senior / Executive / Project Engineer for Rail Communications to lead contractors in delivering rail communications systems across MRT facilities. You will coordinate design, installation, testing and commissioning activities while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include planning risk and cash flows, issuing instructions, evaluating variations and preparing tender specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is advantageous for senior level.
• Good appreciation of interface requirements of civil, trackwork, electrical and mechanical works.
• Strong project management, decision making and leadership skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Team player who is analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented.
• Able to perform occasional night works including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractors to design, supply, install, test and commission rail communications systems.
• Oversee safety, quality, progress and environmental impact of the works.
• Plan and manage risks and cash flows of contracts; issue instructions and assess variations/payments.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders and Railway Operator for coordination.
• Prepare tender specifications; participate in tender evaluation and award.
• Occasional night work, weekends and public holidays may be required.
