Job summary

Lonza Biologics Tuas PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Associate Engineer to support maintenance and production at the Tuas site.

The role requires on-site work with a 12-hour rotating day/night shift, collaborating closely with engineers and supervisors to ensure high-quality, GMP-compliant maintenance for production equipment. Qualified candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering with GMP experience, possess strong communication skills, and can read PID drawings and equipment

• GMP experience.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely in compliance with Lonza rules and Safety Acts.
• Operate SAP to perform transactions.
• Execute routine and repair work orders as assigned by Engineer/Supervisor.
• Ensure all routine maintenance works are carried out per schedule.
• Maintain GMP documentation related to maintenance activities accurately.

Job description

This is a fully site‑based role at Singapore Tuas. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

The Associate Engineer will be required to perform 12 hours rotating day and night shift.

What you'll do:

• Performs all work safely in compliance with Lonza in-house rules & regulations and
• mandatory Safety WSH Acts requirements. (e.g Permit to Work, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, etc)
• Operate SAP to perform transactions
• Executes routine and repair work orders as assigned by the Engineer/ Supervisor.
• Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as per schedule.
• Responsible for ensuring all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is
• completed accurately and processed to full completion.
• Perform shift or be available on-call when required & to support ongoing operations and respond to maintenance calls/ service breakdown calls in a timely manner
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment/ systems and ability to read PID drawing, equipment drawing and identifying of components.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment, Fall Protection, Working at Height
• Any other duties as assigned by Engineer, Supervisor/ Manager.
