Job summary

Lonza in Singapore Tuas is seeking an Associate Engineer for a fully site-based role. You will work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts in a controlled manufacturing environment that emphasizes quality and safety.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering, GMP experience, and strong communication with stakeholders. A daily company bus assists commuting, and medical insurance can be extended to family members.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely in compliance with Lonza in-house rules and regulations and mandatory Safety WSH Acts requirements.
• Operate SAP to perform transactions.
• Execute routine and repair work orders as assigned by the Engineer/Supervisor.
• Ensure all routine maintenance works are carried out as per schedule.
• Ensure GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to completion.
• Perform shift or be available on-call to support ongoing operations and maintenance calls.

Job description

This is a fully site‑based role at Singapore Tuas. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

The Associate Engineer will be required to perform 12 hours rotating day and night shift.

What you'll do:

• Performs all work safely in compliance with Lonza in-house rules & regulations and
• mandatory Safety WSH Acts requirements. (e.g Permit to Work, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, etc)
• Operate SAP to perform transactions
• Executes routine and repair work orders as assigned by the Engineer/ Supervisor.
• Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as per schedule.
• Responsible for ensuring all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is
• completed accurately and processed to full completion.
• Perform shift or be available on-call when required & to support ongoing operations and respond to maintenance calls/ service breakdown calls in a timely manner
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment/ systems and ability to read PID drawing, equipment drawing and identifying of components.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment, Fall Protection, Working at Height
• Any other duties as assigned by Engineer, Supervisor/ Manager.
