You will lead and support engineers, setup and test Guzik DET equipment, and perform characterization of HDD head and media components. Responsibilities include analyzing test results, optimizing testing parameters to improve HDD performance, ensuring ISO compliance, and collaborating with other sites on testing methodologies while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Around 4 years of relevant engineering/testing experience.
• Hands-on Guzik DET equipment experience or HDD testing equipment.
• Experience with Python and/or Visual Basic.
• Familiar with Minitab, JMP, or Spotfire for statistics.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Technicians and Operators to meet department targets.
• Set up, operate, test and troubleshoot Guzik DET machines or similar HDD testing equipment.
• Conduct DET characterization and evaluation of HDD Head/Media components.
• Analyze HDD head/media test results and relate properties to electrical performance.
• Develop and optimize Guzik testing parameters to improve HDD performance.
• Support uptime and manpower planning for R&D and Mass Production operations.
• Evaluate new machine technologies and prepare technical reports.
• Support material planning, inventory control, budgeting and logistics.
• Collaborate with other sites to share testing technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure ISO procedures and workplace safety compliance.
• Carry out other engineering duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Technicians and Operators in achieving department targets.
• Perform hands-on setup, operation, testing and troubleshooting ofGuzik DET machinesor equivalent HDD component testing equipment.
• Conduct DET characterization and evaluation of HDD Head/Media components.
• Analyse HDD head and media test results and investigate relationships between media magnetic properties and electrical performance.
• Develop and optimise critical Guzik testing parameters to improve HDD performance.
• Support machine uptime and manpower planning for R&D and Mass Production operations.
• Evaluate new machine technologies and prepare technical evaluation reports.
• Support material planning, inventory control, budgeting and logistics.
• Work with other sites to share testing technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and workplace safety requirements.
• Carry out other engineering duties assigned by the supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree inElectronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Around4 years of relevant engineering/testing experiencepreferred.
• Hands-on experience withGuzik DET equipment, HDD testing equipment or similar component testing systemsis highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of HDD Head/Media testing and evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge ofPython and/or Visual Basic programming.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such asMinitab, JMP, Spotfire or equivalent.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in acleanroom environment.
