Job summary

Beyondsoft International Singapore is seeking a mechanical design engineer to craft components, enclosures and systems using Creo and other CAD tools. You will perform DFM/DFA analyses, tolerance studies and prototype development to meet performance goals.

The role requires 3+ years in ME part design, strong plastics experience and a demonstrated portfolio. Collaboration with partners and rigorous testing will be essential to deliver cost‑effective, reliable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical part design & ownership.
• Proficiency in Creo or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
• Strong experience in plastic part design, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in consumer product design is a plus.
• A portfolio or project samples demonstrating ME part design experience will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, enclosures and systems using CAD tools, including case parts and mechanisms.
• Perform DFM and DFA analyses, form/fit/function studies and tolerance stack‑ups.
• Develop and refine prototypes based on simulations and concepts, applying creative approaches.
• Collaborate with development partners on mechanical design requirements and performance objectives.
• Conduct testing and evaluation of prototypes to ensure stability and design compliance.
• Manage experiments to characterize and validate design performance.
• Contribute to a project team to develop reliable, cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design mechanical components, enclosures and systems using CAD tools, including case parts, and mechanisms.
• Perform critical design analyses such as Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), form/fit/function and tolerance stack-up studies.
• Develop and refine prototypes based on simulation results and conceptual designs, applying creative and innovative approaches.
• Collaborate and communicate with development partners on mechanical design and development, detailed project requirements, mechanical specifications, and performance objectives.
• Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of prototypes to ensure stability, reliability, and compliance with design standards.
• Managing and executing experiment to characterize and validate design performance
• Participate as a member of project team to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical part design & ownership
• Demonstrated proficiency in Creo or equivalent 3D CAD design tools
• Strong experience in plastic part design, tooling, and manufacturing processes
• Experience in consumer product design will be an advantage
• Having portfolio, work samples or project examples that demonstrate ME part design experience and technical contributions will be highly considered
