Job summary

Gateway Search is seeking an experienced R&D Lead Engineer, Battery Pack, to drive development from concept to production-ready designs in Singapore. You will lead battery pack architecture, thermal performance verification, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, suppliers, and marketing.

You will mentor teams, apply simulation tools (ANSYS) and 3D CAD (CREO/SolidWorks) and deliver robust, scalable battery solutions that meet cost and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
• 8-10 years of relevant experience delivering products to market
• Strong hands-on Battery Pack design experience: simulation/analysis (ANSYS preferred), 3D CAD (CREO/SolidWorks preferred), prototyping, and capacity/runtime/thermal performance verification
• Structural or thermal battery pack design experience (at least one)
• Experience with Global/Regional Supplier ecosystems
• Experience with Product Development Teams to deliver Battery Pack Solutions.

• Coordinate internally and with external partners/suppliers to assess technical and financial feasibility
• Present data-driven findings (value, trade-offs, costs, risks, effort) to stakeholders
• Work with Global Product Marketing and Engineering to validate feasibility of proposals
• Progress and validate solutions with cross-functional teams toward product readiness
• Support engineering teams during integration into product designs
• Build organizational knowledge/capability in technology design

Gateway Search is proud to partner with one of the global leading R&D and manufacturers of consumer electronics products. Due to business expansion in Singapore, they are looking to bring in a R&D Lead Engineer, Battery Pack.

Job Summary

Leads new battery technology and Li-ion battery system development from concept through product integration, acting as the technical expert on module design, architecture, and performance optimization. Works cross-functionally (internal teams, suppliers, Marketing/Engineering) to assess feasibility, present data-driven recommendations, and drive new tech into production-ready designs.
