Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an R&D Engineer focused on sputtering and semiconductor processing. You will tune and maintain sputtering equipment, adjust process parameters, and work with cross‑functional teams to maximize output and minimize defects.

The role accepts a Diploma in Engineering with 3–4 years’ manufacturing experience or a fresh Chemical Engineering/Materials Science degree.

• Ensure the sputtering machine is tuned to operate at maximum capacity without compromising performance.
• Adjust the sputtering parameters to maintain high-quality output, minimizing defects and inconsistencies.
• Regularly monitor and maintain the sputtering equipment to ensure it remains in optimal condition.
• Optimize the sputtering process to maximize the efficient use of materials, reducing waste.
• Work closely with teams from different departments to ensure smooth operations and address any cross-functional issues.
• Analyze data from the sputtering process to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Based on data analysis, make precise adjustments to the sputtering machine to enhance performance and quality.
• Implement a continuous improvement approach to keep refining the sputtering process and achieve better results over time.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Degree in any Engineering fields with 3-4 years in the manufacturing process monitoring experience.
• Fresh Degree in Chemical Engineering/Material Science.
• Good understanding for Sputtering-related knowledge such as PVD, CVD processes.
• Strong analytical skills with exposure to software tools (Minitab, Microsoft Office).
