Job summary

Moveon Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a hands-on R&D Engineer with experience in optical coating and imprint/pattern replication to advance new product and process development. You will help transfer coating and imprint processes from lab to production while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on developing, testing and optimizing coating and imprint processes, evaluating materials, and supporting scale-up and manufacturing transfer in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years hands-on R&D or process development experience in optical coating, imprinting, lithography, thin films, surface treatment or related technologies.
• Practical experience with optical coating processes and/or micro/nano-imprinting/pattern replication.
• Strong understanding of materials, surface properties, curing, adhesion and process parameters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize coating and imprint/pattern replication processes for new products.
• Conduct experiments, DOE, process optimization and feasibility studies.
• Evaluate coating materials, resins, substrates, surface treatments and curing conditions.
• Develop and troubleshoot micro/nano-pattern imprinting processes, including filling, curing and demoulding.
• Characterise and analyse coating/pattern quality, defects, adhesion, thickness, optical and mechanical properties.
• Identify root causes of process and material problems and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with design, mechanical, materials, manufacturing and external suppliers.
• Document experimental results, process conditions, specifications and technical reports.
• Support prototype development, process validation, scale-up and manufacturing transfer.

About the Job
