Job summary

Ambition Singapore is seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop and deploy EMS, BESS, microgrid and power-system control applications in Singapore. You will design, simulate, test, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++.

You will model and optimize energy systems, collaborate with software, hardware, and power-system engineers, and support prototype development, testing, commissioning, and deployment of new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of end-to-end software development and deployment experience for Power SCADA, PMS, power-system controls, industrial automation, EMS, BESS, or microgrid solutions.
• Experience in power systems, energy storage, renewable energy, microgrids, controls, or power electronics.
• Knowledge of EMS, BESS, SCADA, PLC, embedded systems, or industrial automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for applied R&D and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance EMS, BESS, microgrid, and power-system control applications.
• Design, simulate, test, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++.
• Perform system modelling, performance analysis, and optimization of energy systems.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and power-system engineers to develop innovative energy solutions.
• Support prototype development, testing, commissioning, and deployment of new technologies.
