Job summary

Makino Asia Group in Singapore seeks an R&D Electrical Engineer to develop cutting-edge machine tool electronics for CNC milling and automation. You will advance electrical designs for peripheral equipment and support across departments from manufacturing to service.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, hands-on circuit design experience, and familiarity with EPLAN, SolidWorks, E3, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of electrical design principles.
• 2–5 years of relevant industrial experience in electrical circuit design and control circuit design.
• Familiarity with PLC programming.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop and validate new electrical engineering designs.
• Contribute to enhancing the electrical design of various products.
• Assist in electrical designs under guidance of R&D Senior Engineers.
• Study electrical customization requirements and propose solutions.
• Prepare accurate electrical/circuit drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and engineering reports.
• Support R&D development goals aligned with business needs.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing, service, sales, and applications.
• Continuously improve technical core competency through learning and problem-solving.
