Job summary

Makino Asia Group in Singapore is seeking an R&D Electrical Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge machine tool products and automation. You will design and validate electrical systems, drawing on control circuits and PLC basics.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to tailor electrical designs, prepare BOMs, drawings, ECOs, and engineering reports, and help advance R&D goals aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of electrical design principles.
• Experience with electrical circuit and control circuit design.
• Familiarity with PLC programming (basic).

Responsibilities

The R&D Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the development of cutting-edge machine tool products and technologies for CNC Milling, including peripheral equipment and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively develop and validate new, unique electrical engineering designs.
• Contribute to enhancing the electrical design of various products.
• Assist in electrical designs under the guidance of R&D Senior Engineers.
• Study electrical customization requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Prepare accurate engineering documents such as electrical/circuit drawings, Bill of Material, Engineering Change Order, and engineering reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant industrial experience in electrical circuit design and control circuit design.
