Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is assisting a main contractor to hire a Quantity Surveyor for tender projects in Singapore. The role offers exposure to end-to-end QS activities, including tender preparation, cost analysis, and procurement negotiations.

You will work on high-value hotel, residential, and commercial projects, handling multiple stages from sourcing quotations to award documentation, in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and procurement within the Singapore construction sector to manage procurement effectively.
• Must have Professional Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Building Construction Management/Quantity Surveying.
• Proficiency in quantity take-off software and Microsoft Excel to manage cost matrices.
• Knowledge of local procurement processes and standard contract forms (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC) and material specs.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Source, invite, and compile quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and specialized trade works to support project procurement.
• Perform detailed cost comparisons, quantity take-offs, and budget analyses to evaluate tenders against budgeted allowances.
• Conduct commercial negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Prepare, draft, and finalize letters of award, subcontract documents, and supply agreements per templates.
• Monitor market trends and supplier options to optimize procurement strategies.

Our client is an established main contractor specialising in hotel, residential and commercial projects, with expertise in project management and design-and-build services. They are currently hiring a Quantity Surveyor to support tender projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source, invite, and compile quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and specialized trade works to support project procurement.

• Perform detailed cost comparisons, quantity take-offs, and budget analyses to evaluate tenders against budgeted allowances for informed decision-making.

• Conduct commercial negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and strong contractual clauses.

• Prepare, draft, and finalize letters of award, subcontract documents, and supply agreements in compliance with industry-standard templates.

• Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and alternative suppliers to optimize company cost-efficiency and procurement strategies.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Apply professional knowledge in Building Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields supported by a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.

• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and procurement within the Singapore construction sector to manage procurement effectively.

• Demonstrate proficiency in quantity take-off software and Microsoft Excel to manage complex cost matrices accurately.

• Apply knowledge of local construction procurement processes, standard contract forms (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC), and material specifications to ensure compliance.

• Employ strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills to manage vendor relationships and procurement outcomes.

• Working Days/Hours : 5 days/ office hours

• Salary: S$5,000 + Variable Bonus(salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
