Job summary

MACBUILD CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage tender preparation, subcontractor negotiations, and variation order evaluations to support construction projects, especially in A&A and new build sectors.

You will conduct site briefings, organize tenders, measure quantities, evaluate payments, and prepare final accounts, working with the Contracts Manager to ensure accurate financial management and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 2 years relevant construction experience, especially in A&A projects.
• For SQS candidates, minimum 6 years of Singapore main contractor experience.
• Proven ability to estimate tenders, negotiate contracts, administer contracts, and manage variation orders.
• Ability to work independently to estimate and prepare tender submissions.
• Strong analytical, meticulous, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site briefings during site show rounds to gather project information
• Organize and execute tender processes independently, including briefing on background, calling quotations, measuring quantities, and compiling submissions
• Measure quantities accurately for tender preparation and payment evaluations
• Evaluate and respond to payment claims and variation orders for subcontractors
• Obtain quotations and negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project costs
• Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlements, and subcontractor payments to ensure accurate financial management
• Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery
