Job summary

Jinyi Construction in Singapore is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to support high-rise building projects. You will take-off quantities, prepare costing and budgets for tenders and awarded contracts, and liaise with consultants, architects and developers.

Key duties include negotiating sub-contractor prices, certifying claims, preparing variation orders, final accounts, and ensuring accurate measurement of quantities on site. Relevant degree and 2+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building Construction or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience representing Main Contractor/Consultants on high-rise projects in Singapore.
• Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration and variation orders.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Contracts Manager.
• Take off quantities and prepare costing and budgets for tenders and awarded projects.
• Liaise with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects and developers.
• Source sub-contractors and suppliers and negotiate best prices.
• Certify claims for subcontractors and suppliers for progress payments and final accounts.
• Prepare and analyze cost comparison.
• Obtain quotations, liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Measure quantities and take-offs.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlements and subcontractor payments.
• All other QS related duties.
