Job summary

BHCC Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage variations, valuations, procurement, and contract administration on public and private projects. You will prepare interim valuations, monitor procurement, attend site meetings, source sub-contractors, and support the project team with cost and contractual advice across pre-construction to post-construction.

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 2 years' relevant experience in public/private projects.
• Experience with main contractor is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties.

Responsibilities

• Filing variations and monitoring project variations.
• Valuing completed works and filing progress claims; administer contract documents.
• Prepare interim valuations and subcontractor certificates; evaluate variations.
• Monitor procurement process.
• Source quotations for materials and services.
• Attend site and technical meetings.
• Source and negotiate award letters and purchase orders.
• Evaluate price comparisons.
• Provide cost/financial and contractual support across project stages.

Job Description:

• Filing of variations/monitoring of project variations
• Valuing completed works, filing of progress claims and all other necessary contract documents administration works.
• Prepare interim valuation and certificate of sub-contractors claims according to work completed and evaluate variation claims.
• Monitoring of procurement process
• Source for quotation for materials and services
• Attendance of site/technical meetings
• Source, negotiate preparation of awarding letters/agreements/ purchase order to sub-contractors/suppliers
• Evaluation of price comparison summary
• To work closely with the Project Team providing cost and financial advice as well as contractual support and advice during pre-construction, construction and post construction stage.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience. Preferably in public (HDB), private residential and mixed development projects.
• Working experiences with Main Contractor would be an advantage.
• Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre and post-contract duties.
