Job summary

Wah Loon Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to support tendering activities for M&E installations in Singapore. You will prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, and develop detailed BOQs with accurate cost estimates.

The role requires 2–3 years of tendering/costing experience, strong numerical accuracy, and ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building services.
• 2–3 years of Project Tendering/Costing experience for M&E Installation works in Singapore.
• Meticulous attention to detail and numbers.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently under tight timelines.
• Proficient with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring tender documents and specs are provided for accurate pricing.
• Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations for compliance and cost competitiveness.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQ with detailed estimation of material, labour, and subcontractor costs for M&E works.
• Develop detailed tender pricing, cost breakdowns, and commercial analyses for bids.
• Review tender documents to understand project scope, specs, pricing schedules, contractual requirements, and submission criteria.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and project teams to clarify requirements, identify risks, and explore value engineering for Design & Build tenders.
• Support tender submissions, post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and other duties from Reporting Manager.

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), including detailed estimation of material, labour, and subcontractor costs for M&E works.

• Develop detailed tender pricing, cost breakdowns, and commercial analyses to support competitive and accurate bid submissions.

• Review tender documents to understand project scope, technical specifications, pricing schedules, contractual requirements, and submission criteria.

• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and project teams to clarify requirements, identify risks, and explore value engineering opportunities, particularly for Design & Build tenders.

• Support tender submissions, post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and perform other duties assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree Holder in Quantity Surveying/Building services.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of Project Tendering/Costing experience for M&E Installation works in Singapore

• Meticulous and strong attention to detail and numbers

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently under tight project timelines.

• Knowledge in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
