Job summary

DY M&E PTE LTD is seeking a capable Procurement and Quantity Surveying professional to manage sourcing, cost control, and supplier coordination for M&E projects in Singapore. You will ensure timely sourcing, budget alignment, and cross-functional collaboration with project teams to support successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant diploma or degree, familiarity with M&E materials, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering, Procurement, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with M&E materials, suppliers, and subcontractor pricing to enhance procurement effectiveness.
• Experience in Singapore M&E or construction sectors is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office for data management and reporting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills to manage supplier relationships and project collaboration.
• Open to candidates with less experience; guidance will be provided to support development.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors for M&E materials and services to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Obtain quotations, prepare price comparisons, and negotiate prices and commercial terms to optimize procurement outcomes.
• Prepare purchase recommendations and budgets for management approval to align with project financial goals.
• Create purchase orders and verify that invoices, delivery orders, and purchase orders are accurately matched for payment processing.
• Monitor material delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers and project teams to maintain project timelines.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, project costing, quotations, tenders, and variation orders to support project budgeting and planning.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, subcontractor claims, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain organized procurement records, supplier quotations, and project cost reports for transparency and audit purposes.
• Coordinate closely with Project, Finance, and Administration teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Perform additional quantity surveying and purchasing duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.
