Job summary

YONG LEE PLUMBING&SANITARY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, take-offs, tendering, and subcontract administration for sanitary and plumbing projects.

You will prepare cost budgets, monitor changes, evaluate claims, and ensure timely submissions of bids, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Experience with AutoCAD/BIM is preferred; strong communication and vendor negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in the sanitary & plumbing or M&E industry preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM, Photoshop and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quantity take-off and sourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents.
• Produce quantity measurements within targeted timelines.
• Prepare and call quotations; analyze and evaluate for costing of tender.
• Ensure completeness and timely submission of tender bids.
• Prepare cost budgets; track changes in design/construction and adjust budgets.
• Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Certify and evaluate progress work; administer variations for contracts.
• Assess and submit monthly progress claims and recommend payments.
• Finalise subcontract and main contracts' final accounts.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

1. Carry out Quantity Take off for the project whichincludessourcing for suppliers and sub-contractors, collating price comparisonandcosting summary.

2. Study and identify discrepancies intender/contractdocuments.

3. Produce quantity measurement within the targetedtimeline.

4. Prepare and call quotations including analyzingandevaluating for costing of tender; or negotiate and award of subcontractsforprojects.

5. To ensure completeness and timely submission oftenderbids.

6. Prepare cost budget, track changes indesign/constructionwork and adjust budget projects accordingly.

7. Review and prepare agreements for award tosubcontractorsand suppliers.

8. Certify and evaluate progress work done,includingcontract administration for variations for both subcontract and maincontractworks.

9. Assess and submit monthly progress claims, andrecommendthe subcontractor's monthly progress payment.

10. Finalise subcontract and main contract's final account.

11. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying/MechanicalEngineering or related discipline.
• Min. 1-2years of similar capacity experience intheSanitary & Plumbing Industry or M&E Industry would be anaddedadvantage.
