Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgets and tender processes for construction projects in Singapore. You will monitor costs, review bids, participate in negotiations and support value engineering to optimise spend.

The role requires strong numerical and communication skills, proficiency with Excel and cost software, and the ability to deliver accurate financial updates to clients and internal teams within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of Quantity Surveying experience within the construction, built environment or related sector.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Develop, monitor and control project budgets throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Support tender preparation and evaluation, including reviewing contractor and supplier bids and contract negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, identify variations and implement measures to prevent cost overruns.
• Work with design and construction teams on value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Identify and manage financial and commercial risks throughout the project.
• Provide regular cost and financial updates to clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant contractual requirements, regulations, industry standards and company policies.
