Job summary

GMP Technologies (S)Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs, develop project budgets, and support tender evaluation. You will monitor costs, manage variations, and contribute to value engineering with design and construction teams.

Strong communication and risk management skills are essential in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and 2+ years of relevant experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control and contract matters.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Develop, monitor and control project budgets throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Support tender preparation and evaluation, including reviewing contractor and supplier bids and contract negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, identify variations and implement measures to prevent cost overruns.
• Work with design and construction teams on value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Identify and manage financial and commercial risks throughout the project.
• Provide regular cost and financial updates to clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant contractual requirements, regulations, industry standards and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of Quantity Surveying experience within the construction, built environment or related sector.
• Professional accreditation is advantageous.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and contract-related matters.
• Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
