About the role

Full-time Quantity Surveyor role based in Singapore, for retail design and fit-out projects. Bilingual in English and Chinese required. Hybrid work arrangement with some work-from-home flexibility. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and tender documents.

Key responsibilities

• - Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures
• - Provide regular cost reporting to project managers and stakeholders
• - Evaluate quotations and negotiate with suppliers and contractors
• - Assess variation orders and progress claims
• - Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and tender documents for retail design and fit-out projects
• - Work closely with designers, project managers, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on budget while meeting quality and timeline requirements

About you

• - Strong cost management capabilities, including cost management and cost planning skills, to develop and maintain accurate project budgets
• - Proficiency in cost control and cost reporting, to monitor expenditures and prepare clear, timely financial updates for stakeholders
• - Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation and measurement, ensuring precise quantity take-offs and documentation for tender and construction phases
• - Relevant diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• - Experience in interior fit-out, retail, or commercial projects in Singapore, with knowledge of local building regulations and market rates
• - Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• - Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or cost estimation software
• - Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written), required for effective communication with regional stakeholders and partners
• - Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and adapt to a hybrid work environment
