Job summary

KONTOURZ PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage costing, measurement and pre-/post-contract administration on Singapore projects. You will evaluate subcontractor progress payments, prepare monthly progress claims, and prepare final accounts with approvals.

The role requires 1 year of local experience and a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Services, or M&E Engineering. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Singapore-related working experience.
• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Services or M&E Engineering.
• Good oral and written communication skills with a positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity measurement, costing and estimation for pre- and post-contract administration.
• Evaluate and certify sub-contractors’ progress payments.
• Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims.
• Submit quotations to clients for Variation Orders (VO) items and monitor payments.
• Liaise with main contractor on payments and VO confirmations.
• Prepare Final Account for completed projects and obtain management approval.
• Follow up with clients on final payments and release of retentions.
• Prepare monthly payment collection forecasts and cost impact analyses with Project Managers.

Job Description:

• Prepare quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre- and post- contract administration.
• Prepare evaluation and certification of sub-contractors’ progress payments.
• Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims.
• Prepare costing and submit quotations to clients for Variation Orders (VO) items.
• Liaise with main contractor on payments and VO confirmations.
• Prepare Final Account for completed projects and obtain management’s approval.
• Follow up with clients on final payments and release of retentions
• Liaise with main contractor on performance bonds.
• Prepare monthly report of payment collection forecast and estimation of payments to sub-contractors.
• Work with Project Managers on project administration matters, contractual obligation and cost impact for project, etc.
• Assist in the preparation of project submission documents such as - built drawings, operational & maintenance manual, warranties, etc.
• Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Singapore related working experience is compulsory
• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Building Services / M&E Engineering
• With relevant local working experience would be preferred
• Good oral & written communication skills with a positive work attitude and willingness to learn
