Job summary

LONGXIANG CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support post-contract cost control and commercial administration for Singapore construction projects.

The role involves preparing claims, monitoring budgets, and maintaining detailed cost records to ensure project profitability. You will coordinate with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors, prepare variations and final accounts, and help prepare tender documents and cost evaluations.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the building construction industry in Singapore.
• Experience in subcontractor projects and building works is required.
• Basic knowledge of contract administration and construction costing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in post-contract cost control and commercial administration for construction projects.
• Prepare and process progress claims, subcontractor claims and supplier payments.
• Monitor project budgets, cost tracking and expenditures.
• Prepare and submit Variations Orders (VOs) and maintain supporting records.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurement works from drawings and site requirements.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in tender preparation and evaluation of documents.
• Maintain records of contracts, claims, variations and project costs.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, site personnel, subcontractors and suppliers on cost matters.
• Prepare final accounts and cost reports; attend site meetings and take site measurements as required.
