Job summary

QUEK HOCK SENG CONSTRUCTION (PTE) LTD, a Singapore-based contractor, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract administration, prepare tender submissions, negotiate with subcontractors, and mentor junior team members to ensure accurate cost control and contract compliance.

You will measure quantities, perform take-offs, draft variation orders and final accounts, manage subcontractor payments, and support project delivery with strong Excel reporting and independent,

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with a main contractor in quantity surveying or contract administration.
• Understanding of building contract law and contractual obligations to ensure legal compliance.
• Proficient Excel for data analysis and reporting; ability to work independently with high integrity and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre- and post-contract processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Prepare tender cost submissions including pricing, quantity take-offs, and cost evaluations to support bidding accuracy.
• Obtain and negotiate quotations with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project costs.
• Measure quantities and perform quantity take-offs to maintain accurate project records.
• Prepare variation orders, claims, and final accounts to manage contract changes and financial closure.
• Draft subcontracts and process subcontractor payments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Manage and mentor junior team members to develop skills and maintain team performance.
• Perform all other quantity surveying related tasks to support project delivery.

Other Information

• Work schedule: 5.5 days per week with alternate Saturdays off
