Job summary

ELTRON ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Singapore. You will handle pre- and post-contract QS functions across residential, commercial, or industrial projects, ensuring cost control and value delivery.

You will take-off quantities, prepare BQ and estimates, assess subcontractors, and monitor budgets. Strong contract knowledge and proficiency in CostX/Bluebeam are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a main contractor environment.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, VOs, and claims.
• Familiar with PSSCOC, SIA, or other standard contract forms.
• Proficient in MS Excel and quantity take-off software (CostX or Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract (Tender Stage): Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Pre-Contract: Take-off quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Pre-Contract: Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Pre-Contract: Conduct budget cost planning and feasibility studies.
• Pre-Contract: Assist in tender clarifications and attend site briefings.
• Post-Contract (Project Execution Stage): Monitor and control project cost, budget, and expenditure.
• Post-Contract: Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages, contracts, and claims.
• Post-Contract: Certify interim payments, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Post-Contract: Assess and negotiate subcontractor claims and disputes.
• Post-Contract: Perform site valuations and update cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Post-Contract: Coordinate with project team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Post-Contract: Maintain accurate documentation and cost records.
• General: Liaise with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities.
• General: Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines.
• General: Provide cost advice during design development and procurement.
• General: Support project team in procurement strategy and contractual correspondence.
