Job summary

CATIG CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a diligent contracts assistant to support tender preparation and subcontract administration on-site.

You will liaise with the construction team to prepare RFQ/open tender documents and help manage subcontractor arrangements. This role requires meticulous measurement of quantities for progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts, as well as maintaining event records for EOT claims.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with construction team to prepare RFQ or open tender documentation.
• Ensure accurate quantity measurement to support progress payment claims and final accounts.
• Assist in maintaining documentation of site events for variation order and EOT claims.
• Assist in procuring subcontractors and suppliers of specified materials.
• Attend technical meetings to track design development and cost escalation alerts.
• Source potential tenderers and send out RFQ invitations.
• Coordinate queries between tenderers and the construction team during RFQ.
• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts.

Job description

• Liaise with construction team to prepare document for Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Open Tender
• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts;
• Assist in maintaining good documentation of events at site for variation order / EOT claims;
• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials;
• Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts;
• Source potential tenderers/subcontractors and send out invitation for RFQs
• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction team during RFQ stage
• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts
