is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to support construction and renovation projects, focusing on cost control, tendering, procurement and commercial coordination. The successful candidate will prepare quotations and cost estimates, review BOQ and contract documents, manage variations and cost reconciliation, and liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and project teams to ensure value for money and profitability throughout the project
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support our construction and renovation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for project costing, tender preparation, procurement, cost control, and commercial coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions for construction and renovation projects.
Review tender drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and contract documents.
Conduct quantity take-offs based on construction drawings and project requirements.
Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and value for money.
Prepare project budgets and monitor project costs and expenditure throughout project execution.
Manage Variation Orders (VO), progress claims, final accounts, and cost reconciliation.
Prepare cost comparisons and recommend cost-saving alternatives where appropriate.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams on commercial and costing matters.
Assist the Project Manager with budgeting, procurement, and project costing.
Maintain and update the costing database and material price records.
Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) when required.
Support management in pricing strategies and project profitability analysis.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
Relevant experience in construction and/or renovation projects will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tendering, procurement, and cost control.
Familiarity with BOQ, tender documents, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.
Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
