Job summary

DIVINE SPACE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost estimation, cost control, contract administration, and project management for construction projects in Singapore.

You will prepare detailed estimates, review contracts, monitor costs, conduct site visits, and present financial reports to senior management, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Proficiency with QS software such as CostX or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects covering material, labor, and equipment.
• Perform cost analysis and value engineering to optimize budgets.
• Review and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Monitor and control project costs during construction and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to create cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present regular progress and financial reports to senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, covering material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Perform comprehensive cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets.
• Review and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and project specifications.
• Monitor and control project costs during construction, identifying potential overruns and implementing corrective actions.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to assess requirements and create cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present regular progress and financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress, verify quantities, and address any quantity-related issues.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• In-depth knowledge of construction cost estimation, contract administration, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently and leading a team.
