Job summary

Ambition is assisting a leading Asian asset manager in Singapore to recruit a data analytics/technology professional. The role sits at the interface of quantitative rigour and fundamental investing, supporting the regional investment platform and CIO-led initiatives.

You will contribute to analytics, risk management, and portfolio construction workflows, building production-grade code and scalable solutions for top-tier decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in an analytics or technology role supporting Equities or Fixed Income investment teams, embedded or in an adjacent team.
• Fluency in how alpha is harvested along the investment lifecycle, and the ability to translate that to senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in SQL, R/Python, and front-end frameworks such as Shiny, Dash or Quarto.
• Familiar with how alpha is generated for Equities and/or Fixed Income.
• Familiar with engineering practices - version control, CI/CD, unit testing, API integration.
• Differentiating skills: Azure ecosystem, Databricks, front-end development; multi-agent systems and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Support CIO initiatives and management information to strengthen regional investment decision-making.
• Analytics platform: design, development and deployment of investment analytics with version control and release cycles.
• Quantitative frameworks: prototype and productionise analytical approaches with maintainable code and documentation.
