Job summary

EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS (SINGAPORE) LIMITED is seeking a technically rigorous analytics professional to support the CIO and investment teams. This role covers equities and fixed income analytics, platform-wide data and tools, and production-grade code development.

You will translate analytical output into actionable advice, contributing to the decision-making process and the broader investment discipline at the top level.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of analytics or technology experience supporting investment teams in equities or fixed income.
  • Proficient in SQL, R or Python and front-end dashboards.
  • Familiar with how alpha is generated for equities/fixed income.
  • Familiar with engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, unit testing, API integration.
  • Differentiating skills: Azure, Databricks, front-end development, multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analytics platform design, development and deployment for investment analytics.
  • Identify, prototype and productionise new analytical approaches for decision-making.
  • Draw insights from analytics and engage investment teams to improve portfolio construction thinking.
  • Provide on-demand CIO support and contribute to strategic business objectives.

Job description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This team sits at the intersection of fundamental investment approach and quantitative rigour and discipline, reporting to the Global Chief Investment Officer. We scale the business by optimizing the various aspects of the investment, risk management, performance analytics and portfolio construction lifecycle alongside best-in-class management information. The aim is to improve business outcomes and scale the business from a top-of-the-house perspective.

We are seeking a technically rigorous, investment-literate analytics professional. This role will grow into one expected to translate analytical output into actionable advice for the Global CIO and the various Head of Investments. Asset classes under quantitative research coverage are Equities and Fixed Income, with oversight on Multi-assets and Quantitative Strategies.

This role will be a generalist involved in integrating and evolving our platform-wide data and tools within top-of-the-house forums for better decision-making across the investment business.

Analytics Platform:

Support the design, development, and production deployment of investment analytics, managing version control, release cycles, and iterative improvements in a structured quantitative development environment.

Quantitative Frameworks:

Identify, prototype and productionise new analytical approaches across descriptive and predictive applications to complement decision-making. Develop and maintain production-grade code, with a strong emphasis on code quality, reproducibility, documentation, and maintainability.

Investment Discipline:

Draw meaningful insights from the analytics you build, work with senior team-mates to engage investment teams to challenge and improve discretionary portfolio construction thinking. The aggregated top-of-the-house view will also provide critical management intelligence to the CIO for steering the overall investment business.

CIO Support and Management Information:

Support senior team-mates for on-demand support to the CIO on priority initiatives contributing to strategic business objectives.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in an analytics or technology role supporting Equities or Fixed Income investment teams either in an adjacent or embedded team.
  • Proficient in SQL, R / Python and front-end frameworks such as Shiny, Dash, Quarto.
  • Familiar with how alpha is generated for Equities and/or Fixed Income.
  • Familiar with engineering practices - version control, CI/CD, unit testing, API integration.
  • Differentiating skills:
  • Azure ecosystem, Databricks, Front-end development
  • Multi-agent systems and orchestration
