Brevan Howard is offering a Summer Internship Program for penultimate-year undergraduate to 1st-year master/PhD students, delivering hands-on experience in data pipelines, quantitative models, and AI-enabled analytics. Interns work directly with front-office personnel to drive immediate impact on multiple projects and gain exposure to macro trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year undergraduate, junior or 1st-year master/PhD student, to be awarded before July 2028.
• Strong mathematical, quantitative problem-solving capabilities and technical skills (Excel, VBA, R, AI and ML techniques).
• Interest and passion for financial markets, trading and financial products.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines to extract and analyze data, develop models and trading signals, and support decision-making of Portfolio Managers.
• Integrate AI into analytical systems and build new AI-powered tools using the latest LLMs and agent workflows.
• Contribute to the core analytics library used by Quants and PMs for research, trading and risk management.
• Attend a one-week in-depth training covering Financial Markets topics such as Macroeconomics, FX, Digital Assets, Derivatives, Trading Strategies, Risk Management, Excel and Python, plus AI tools and LLMs.
• Participate in talks, mentor programs, social events and interactions with leaders in the field.
• This two-way process helps determine if Brevan Howard and the intern are a compatible fit for a longer-term career path.
