Optiver invites penultimate-year students to join its Quantitative Trading Internship for an 8-week summer program. You will tackle complex quantitative problems, design and enhance trading strategies, and be mentored by industry experts.

The internship includes training from derivatives theory to hands-on trading experience and potential graduate offers. Travel and accommodation are covered for the internship, and top performers may receive a return offer as a Graduate Quantitative Trader.

Qualifications

• Penultimate or pre-penultimate university student, with a graduation date of December 2026 to June 2028.
• Experience in programming or scripting in Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete lectures and coursework on trading fundamentals.
• Apply knowledge in a simulated trading environment, trading options with live market data.
• Analyze real historical data to develop and backtest algorithmic strategies.
• Learn from full-time educators and current traders across trading desks.
• Test potential and accelerate growth in a high-performing environment.
