Hudson River Trading is seeking exceptional full-time students to join our Algorithm Development Summer Internship Program. You will rotate between high- and mid-frequency trading teams and ML teams, applying quantitative modeling techniques to understand market behavior and write software to improve trading strategies.

Interns work closely with mentors to develop skills in Python/C++, data analysis, and predictive modeling, with opportunities to join impactful projects and participate in tech

Qualifications

• You are a full-time undergraduate or master’s student in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience programming in Python is a must; C++ is desired for low-latency trading.
• Experience with statistical analysis, numerical programming, or machine learning in Python, Pandas/Numpy, R, and/or MATLAB.
• A passion for applying quantitative models and technology toward solving real-world problems.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Python/C++ with proprietary infrastructure for research and data analysis.
• Use machine learning and time series techniques to derive market insights from large datasets.
• Collaborate with researchers, traders, and developers on impactful projects.
• Utilize our compute cluster to run simulations and crunch data.
• Build predictive models for financial markets using market and non-market data.
• Attend Tech Talks and participate in mentorships and trading games.
