Job summary

Brevan Howard invites penultimate-year undergraduates and early-year master’s/PhD students to join a Summer Internship in Singapore. You will build data pipelines, develop models and trading signals, and support Portfolio Managers with analytics.

The role emphasizes integrating AI, using LLMs, and contributing to analytics libraries in a fast‑paced macro environment. The program starts with hands-on training on financial markets, Excel/Python, and AI tools, plus talks, mentoring, and events.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year undergraduate/junior or 1st year master's or PhD student, completed before July 2028.
• Strong mathematical, quantitative, problem-solving capabilities, and technical skills (Excel, VBA, R, AI and ML techniques).
• Interest in financial markets, trading and financial products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines to extract and analyze data and support decision-making of Portfolio Managers.
• Develop models and trading signals and integrate AI into analytical systems.
• Build AI-powered tools using the latest LLMs and agent workflows.
• Contribute to the core analytics library used by Quants and PMs.
• Participate in one-week intensive training covering Financial Markets topics and Python basics.
