Job summary

Panasonic Industrial Devices Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to own the QMS across manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions and a proven track record in reducing defects and improving efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing quality leadership, strong knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001, and experience with Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, SPC, and CAPA programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing quality leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Proven CI expertise (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lean, Kaizen) with measurable impact.
  • Proficiency in statistical methods and tools (SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, RCA, 8D) and quality data analytics.
  • Experience with supplier quality management, vendor qualification, and MRB processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and quality software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, and SPC to reduce defects and rework.
  • Lead RCA and CAPA programs across manufacturing operations.
  • Manage internal and supplier audits with timely closure of findings.
  • Establish and track KPIs (PPM defects, first-pass yield, DPU, DPMO, complaints).
  • Own non-conformance management and disposition processes.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D to optimize processes for quality and manufacturability.
  • Lead quality training for QA/QC staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure regulatory and customer compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain supplier qualification, incoming inspection, and material release processes.
  • Manage inspection, testing, and metrology activities; oversee calibration programs.
  • Prepare quality reports for senior management and support audits and customer visits.

Job Overview

The Quality Manager will own and drive the quality management system (QMS) across manufacturing operations, including process control, supplier quality, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of manufacturing experience, strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a proven track record in implementing quality improvements that reduce defects and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, and SPC to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) program across manufacturing operations.
  • Manage internal audits, supplier audits, and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Establish and track KPIs (PPM defects, first-pass yield, DPU, DPMO, customer complaints, on-time quality metrics, supplier quality performance).
  • Own non-conformance management, deviation handling, and disposition processes.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D to optimize processes, tooling, and product designs for quality and manufacturability.
  • Lead quality training and development for QA/QC staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure regulatory and customer compliance with industry-specific standards

Required Experience & Education
