Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Quality Lab Assistant Manager to oversee laboratory operations and lead a team of Lab Analysts and Controllers supporting quality control and manufacturing activities.

You will ensure compliant laboratory practices with quality and regulatory standards while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the lab team in Singapore and APAC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of technical experience in a Quality Control laboratory.
• Experience supervising laboratory personnel is advantageous.
• Experience with LIMS is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coach Lab Analysts, Technicians, Chemists, and Microbiologists in analytical testing activities.
• Ensure testing, data review, and analysis are performed safely, accurately, and reliably.
• Ensure compliance with EN ISO 13485, cGMP, JQMS, and GDP.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review analytical test results and monitor trends to identify anomalies and prevent OOS.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed within timelines.
• Make scientifically sound, risk-based decisions for lab issues.
• Monitor inventory and plan manpower for smooth operations.
• Establish, review, and approve laboratory SOPs.
• Train personnel on SOPs, equipment, methods, and controls.
• Drive safety initiatives and coordinate LIMS projects.
• Manage staff performance and provide coaching to achieve objectives.
