Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to manage process change QA activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) within the wafer foundry environment.

The role involves reviewing process change reports, coordinating with customers on PCNs, and ensuring compliance with AIAG/VDA FMEA and Control Plans, while driving productivity improvements and addressing fab abnormalities and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related field.
• At least two years in wafer foundry operations, back-end IC packaging, process integration, or PCN quality assurance.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of AIAG-VDA FMEA and Control Plans is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage process change QA activities and maintain the QMS.
• Review fab process and recipe change reports; ensure risks are addressed and review process compliance.
• Communicate with customers regarding PCNs and ensure all customer requirements are addressed.
• Review FMEA documents and Control Plans to ensure SOP and AIAG standards compliance.
• Lead or participate in productivity improvements and quality system enhancements.
• Independently manage fab abnormalities and customer-related issues, including root cause investigations.
• Support audits, cross-site activities, and coaching junior team members.

• Manage process change qualityassurance (QA) activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Review fab process and recipe change reports,ensure that all change-related risks have been properly addressed, and verifythat the review process complies with internally defined procedures.
• Communicate with customers regarding Process ChangeNotifications (PCNs) and ensure that all customer requirements are fullyaddressed.
• Review Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)documents and Control Plans to ensure compliance with internal standardoperating procedures (SOPs) and AIAG standards.
• Lead or participate in projects related toproductivity improvement, daily operations and workflow optimization, andquality system enhancement.
• Independently manage fab abnormalities andcustomer-related issues, including supporting root cause investigations andaddressing special requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager, suchas supporting second- and third-party audits, participating in cross-siteactivities, and coaching junior team members.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above inengineering or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in wafer foundryoperations, back-end IC packaging processes, process integration, or PCNquality assurance.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of AIAG-VDA FMEA and Control Plans is aplus.
