Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to join our expanding fab and drive precision manufacturing. You will monitor inline process parameters, address abnormalities, and support productivity and yield improvement projects using data analysis and experiments.

This role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve manufacturing excellence and to contribute to advanced materials and process development in a world-class facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics/related field required or equivalent
• At least 2 years in semiconductor process/manufacturing including internships
• Familiarity with 22nm/28nm or smaller nodes is advantageous (SPC/DOE/FMEA/8D)
• Willingness to work shift hours and collaborate across teams

Main Responsibilities

As a Process Engineer in our team, you will:

We’re looking for someone with:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor process or manufacturing including internships.
• Familiarity with 22nm/28nm or smaller technology nodes, like SPC, DOE, FMEA or 8D tools is advantageous.
• Interest in process optimisation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams to support optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work shift hours as required.
