Job summary

ZAC MEAT & POULTRY PTE LTD is seeking a Quality Control Operations lead to ensure raw materials, processes and finished products meet specifications in a Singapore manufacturing facility. You will drive QC day-to-day, oversee inspections across materials, WIP, and final products, and escalate when limits are not met.

You will lead product defect investigations, apply root-cause analysis, implement CAPA, and track actions to timely closure, while analyzing data to identify improvement

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong practical knowledge of product inspection, process controls, HACCP, GMP, non-conformance management, root-cause analysis and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day QC operations according to production requirements and risk priorities.
• Oversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, WIP and finished products against approved specifications and inspection plans.
• Ensure CCP, process and product-quality checks are completed accurately and escalated promptly when limits are not met.
• Review disposition recommendations for non-conforming materials and products, including hold, release, rework or rejection, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead investigations into product defects, internal rejections, customer complaints, product returns and food incidents.
• Apply structured root-cause analysis, establish corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), assign owners and track actions to timely closure.
• Review investigation evidence and reports to ensure conclusions and actions are supported by facts and production records.
• Escalate significant or recurring quality risks to management and the Quality Assurance team.
• Analyse defect, non-conformance, complaint and process data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Establish practical QC performance measures and present quality trends, risks and action status to management.
• Support product trials, process changes, equipment verification and operational improvement projects from a QC perspective.
• Maintain complete and traceable QC records, inspection results and investigation files.
• Promote a strong quality culture and reinforce timely escalation and fact-based decision-making on the production floor.
