You will lead the QC function, oversee inspection activities, and ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, 5+ years in QC within CNC/precision manufacturing, and hands-on experience with CMM, GD&T, and FAI.

Qualifications

• Strong GD&T, CMM, FAI, and quality tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QC function within a precision machining and manufacturing environment.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure parts meet customer specs.
• Supervise QC Inspectors including daily work allocation, training, and performance development.
• Oversee the use of CMM and precision measurement equipment for inspection.
• Review and approve FAI reports and support NPI documentation for high-tolerance components.
• Manage NCRs and lead root-cause investigations (8D, 5-Why).
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Production, and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Monitor supplier quality and support supplier qualification and audits.
• Lead supplier and external vendor audits as required.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100 or customer quality standards.

Quality Control Manager

Basic up to $5,500 + Bonus & AWS (Subject to company P/L)

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:45 PM

Candidates must have relevant QC experience in precision engineering or CNC machining .

CMM experience is essential for this position.

Our client is an established precision engineering and manufacturing company in Singapore , specialising in high-precision CNC machining and the production of complex machined components for demanding industrial applications. The company places strong emphasis on manufacturing quality, dimensional accuracy, process control, and compliance with international quality standards.

They are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager with a strong background in precision engineering and CNC machining to lead the QC function and ensure consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QC function within a precision machining and manufacturing environment .
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure machined components meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Lead and supervise QC Inspectors, including daily work allocation, scheduling, training, and performance development.
• Oversee the use of CMM and precision measurement equipment for dimensional and geometric inspection.
• Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and support New Product Introduction (NPI) documentation for high-tolerance components.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and lead root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions using methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why .
• Work closely with Quality Engineers, Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and support the qualification of new suppliers/vendors .
• Lead and participate in supplier and external vendor audits where required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or relevant customer requirements .
• Drive the implementation and monitoring of quality control processes to maintain product consistency and reduce quality issues.
• Apply statistical and quality tools such as SPC, CpK, Gage R&R, and FMEA to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QC personnel and promote a strong quality culture within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QC experience within a CNC machining, precision engineering, or metal manufacturing environment .
• Candidates must have a strong Quality Control background within precision engineering . Candidates from a general QA background without relevant machining QC experience will not be considered.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints , with advanced knowledge of GD&T .
• Hands‑on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of FAI, dimensional inspection, process control, and quality inspection methodologies .
• Practical knowledge of SPC, CpK, Gage R&R, and FMEA .
• Experienced in handling NCR, root‑cause analysis, 8D, 5‑Why, and CAPA .
• Experience in supplier quality management, vendor qualification, and supplier audits will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards .
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage QC personnel and work closely with cross‑functional teams.
